RNAS Yeovilton International Airday 2017
Back in 1947, the very first Yeovilton air show took place at its namesake’s Royal Navy Air Station (RNAS) found in Somerset. Now, some 7 decades later and the RNAS Yeovilton International Airday 2017 is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the UK airshow season. With the Airday team renowned for attracting numerous rare aircraft both on the ground and in the air, an estimated crowd of some 40,000 people crammed on to the airfield to witness 2017’s showcase of Fleet Air Arm personnel and equipment - once again the team delivering a fantastic family day out. The [...]

RAF Cosford has become a must attend event for many and as, for the third year running, the event remains the sole Royal Air Force Airshow, it is the only real chance to allow for the public to engage with the RAF – both [...]
Shuttleworth Fly Navy 2017
When the Shuttleworth Collection announced that their 2017 calendar would feature another Fly Navy event, many ‘pencilled’ it in – both those with the memories of last year’s hugely successful edition and those who had heard about arguably ‘the top UK show of 2016’. That said, would 2017 match or even beat last year’s show? AeroResource’s Jamie Ewan & James Innes were at one of the country’s most loved display venues to find out. Despite being the oldest of the UK’s air arms, the Fleet Air Arm (FAA) - as it is known today – is the one that for [...]
Northolt Evening Photoshoot XXIIa
Northolt Nightshoot XXII was originally due to take place March 23, however, with the tragic events taking place at Westminster the day before, the event was understandably postponed. With night’s drawing out, the planned nightshoot was instead to become the Northolt Evening Photoshoot XXIIa. Taking place on the re-arranged date of June 1, it was clear from the outset that the usual nightshoot format wouldn’t apply to the twenty-second event of its type, especially with sunset occurring just 20 minutes before the event’s planned finish time of 2130. With the previous event (Ed note: a recap of which can be [...]
