The 352nd Special Operations Group at RAF Mildenhall has been visibly upgrading their aircraft and capabilities over the last year, and with new types becoming operational, the older aircraft are now being phased out in turn. Ben Montgomery was at Mildenhall to see the final MC-130P Combat Shadow leaving the 67th Special Operations Squadron after almost a half century of service.

Just before 11am on Wednesday 28th August, 2013 Vickers VC10 K3, ZA148 'G', made its final landing at Newquay Airport, Cornwall (the former RAF St. Mawgan). In doing so the aircraft completed its 48,351st flying hour but now takes up permanent residence as a static exhibit with the Classic Air Force (CAF), where the crew Flt Lts Nick Millikin, Jess Gannon, Kev Booth and Bruce Thompson were greeted by hundreds of enthusiasts and well-wishers. On Monday 24th June 2013, the 352nd Special Operations Group took delivery of the first batch of CV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft, marking the start of a large expansion and modernisation program at RAF Mildenhall. Ben Montgomery visited the 7th and 67th Special Operations Squadrons at Mildenhall to learn more about their new aircraft.

Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi based on the Texas coast is home to four United States Navy (USN) Training Squadrons. These training squadrons perform basic, intermediate and advanced flight training for Navy and Marine Corps students. During October 2012 Mark Forest and Paul Newbold had the opportunity to get up close to the squadrons and aircraft around the rather full ramps of TAW-4.
